This tiny 5-month-old pup has already lived through a chapter no dog should. Found wandering alone, painfully thin and covered in infected bite wounds, Pumpkin came to us in rough shape—but with a heart still full of hope.

She’s healing beautifully and showing us just how sweet and resilient she is. Pumpkin listens well to gentle corrections and tries so hard to do the right thing—she’s a little pleaser through and through. Playful, loving, and great with other dogs, she’s blossoming into a joyful companion. We’re not sure how she feels about cats yet, but with her gentle, social nature, she’s sure to win over just about anyone she meets.

Though we believe she’s a Catahoula mix, she’s much smaller than expected—maybe there’s a petite relative in her recent family tree.

She is active and because of her shyness, would need a home with no children younger than 13.  She loves attention and will chase a ball.  She weighs approximately 17 lbs and would be a great new addition for the right family.
