How to Adopt

We adopt in order of approved applications. In other words, if someone applied and was approved to adopt 2 years ago and you applied yesterday, they come first.

How to Adopt a Dog:

First know that our pets live on a 14 acre private sanctuary. We have no open hours and all visits must be pre-approved and scheduled.

First Steps:

After finding a dog or dogs on our website you would like to meet. You will need to fill out the application form so you can be approved to visit and meet pets within our care. We will then contact you within 3 business days so we can set up an appointment. This does not obligate you to adopt, it simply means if you find a good match you will be allowed to adopt.

Further Details

If you have a current dog/pet(s) do bring them with you if possible to make sure everyone likes each other.

We do promote a trial period for adult dogs before you commit to the adoption. We do not allow this for puppies as they will need training and will be the dog you raise them to be.

We will adopt to homes anywhere in the United States but we will not ship dogs. You must come to us for pick up

Must I Reapply

If you have been pre-approved in the past, and as long as there are no significant changes to your original application, you do not need to re-apply. If you see a dog posted that you would be interested in adopting, simply e-mail Hope at admin@hoperescues.com.

Fees & Vetting

Adoption fees for Dogs and Puppies is $275.00

Dogs of age are spayed or neutered and all dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed.

Puppies are spayed/neutered at 5 months old through our vet which is included in the adoption fee..

Dogs over six moths are tested for heartworms.

All dogs are on heartworm and flea prevention while in our care.
