This tiny 5-month-old pup has already lived through a chapter no dog should. Found wandering alone, painfully thin and covered in infected bite wounds, Pumpkin came to us in rough shape—but with a heart still full of hope.

She’s healing beautifully and showing us just how sweet and resilient she is. Pumpkin listens well to gentle corrections and tries so hard to do the right thing—she’s a little pleaser through and through. Playful, loving, and great with other dogs, she’s blossoming into a joyful companion. We haven’t seen her around cats yet, so that’s still a mystery.

Though we believe she’s a Catahoula mix, she’s much smaller than expected—maybe there’s a petite relative in her recent family tree.

Pumpkin is ready for a fresh start with someone who sees her not just as a survivor, but as a best friend in the making.
