Meet Gary, a sweet senior Shih Tzu mix with a heart as soft as his (now beautifully groomed) coat. He is extremely friendly with people, dogs, and other pets — truly one of those dogs who just loves everyone he meets.
Gary is mostly blind, but don’t let that worry you. He gets around surprisingly well, follows your voice, and loves to toddle right behind you like your own little shadow. He’s gentle, loving, and happiest curled up next to you for a good cuddle session.
When Gary was rescued, he was one of the worst matted dogs we’ve ever seen — so matted that one eye was completely sealed shut. We don’t know how long he lived like that, but what we do know is that he never let it dim his spirit. With care, patience, and a fresh start, Gary has blossomed into the sweetest, most grateful little companion.
