Elvis - Adopted

Elvis is a 2 yr old male Chihuahua. He is one of the 60+ puppy mill dogs recently found running as a stray in Branson, Missouri. He is shy but has quickly warmed up to our volunteers, especially with treats. He is good with other dogs, not house trained but has a good beginning with crate training. He would be a wonderful addition to most families.

Buster - ADOPTED

Meet Buster a 9 year old Shih Tzu who is blind. He is super social and loves everyone he meets. A few years ago he had his eyes removed due to glaucoma.

His owner recently found that she was terminal and asked if we would take him in and find him a loving home.

He has been very well cared for, always current on vaccines, heart worm prevention and groomed.

His new people need to understand that at first he will need help to the door because he can't see it on his own until he gets familiar with his environment and learns where the door is by scent.

Feeding him on a schedule and letting him out on a schedule will be the easiest way to help him adjust.

Odie - Adopted

Odie DOB: 2/12/2016 Boxer mix male.

Odie is as cuddly as he looks and is really sweet. He gets along with some other dogs, has good manners and would be an amazing pet for most families. He is Heartworm positive, but Hope Rescues manages and pays for the heartworm treatment through our vet until he is Heartworm negative.

JJ

JJ DOB: 9/20/2013 Hound Mix.

JJ is friendly but shy of some situations, he never becomes aggressive, he just cowards in new situations. He was probably not socialized well as a pup. He is good with some dogs, and prefers dog who are not high energy but more relaxed. Because of his insecurities of some situations, JJ would do best in a home with no small children.

Cooper - Adopted

Cooper DOB: 2-19-2015 male beagle.

Cooper was in a home where he recently lost his canine friend and then starting nipping at the 4 year old child in the home.
Cooper would do best in a home with no small children. He does well with other dogs, in fact he would probably do best in a home with another dog his size. He is friendly and is good with other dogs.

Rhett - Adopted

Rhett

Meet Rhett!  A spunky little male chihuahua ready to leave the nest and explore the world! At 11 weeks old, Rhett is a tan color with a smooth coat. Both his parents are small, weighing approximately 5 pounds, so he will probably be small as well.  He is a friendly little guy—all puppy!  He loves to play with his siblings. He often steals the ball from his sister and plays ‘catch me if you can’ with her!

He gets along with cats and other dogs in the house.  This playful and perky sweet boy will capture your heart immediately the moment you meet him.  His spunky demeanor, perky prance and friendly outgoing mellow personality will impress.  Rhett is a gorgeous little guy with loads of fun personality. He loves playing with his toys (and sister’s toys); balls, plushies, chew toys, and the occasional unattended sock! Due to his small size and delicate bone structure he would do best with older children.

Buddy - Adoption Pending

Buddy DOB 7/17/2013 Male Beagle

Buddy was kept as a hunting dog all of his life so he stayed in an outside kennel. But his owner got too old and the family decided to surrender him to Hope Rescues to find him a good home. Buddy is a fun loving beagle boy. He is active, loves attention and would be a perfect fit for any family. Could you be the lucky family to take this adorable boy home and spoil him with all of the joys in life that he has missed so far. Buddy will be ready for adoption after 9/9/2020.

Potter

Potter DOB 12/16/2014 Male Shih Tzu / Poodle

Potter is an adorable boy. He was adopted as a puppy and as things sometimes happen.. small problems that were not corrected early when they first appeared, grew into bigger problems.. He did bite a child so he cannot go to a home with children younger than 15. We have not had any issues with him here since his return. Other than that he is an amazing boy… he loves to cuddle, will chase a ball, gets along with other dogs and is just a wonderful boy.
