Meet Rosa, a sweet girl who came to us after the commercial breeder she lived in closed down. She never received the care, socialization, or support every dog deserves, but she’s already showing us how much heart she has.

Rosa is very shy with people, yet she allows gentle handling and will let you pick her up. With patience and kindness, she’s beginning to show curiosity toward the affection she’s getting from our staff and volunteers. Watching her discover that humans can be safe is incredibly rewarding. She is good with other dogs but we are not totally sure about cats though.

She’ll need gentle guidance as she learns about life in a real home — things like housebreaking, normal household noises, and everyday activities such as a dishwasher running or a TV turned on. With time and reassurance, she’ll blossom.

At the sanctuary, Rosa is loving her new freedom and the comfort of being with other dogs. She’s sweet, soft‑natured, and has all the potential to become an amazing family member for someone who understands that progress comes in small, beautiful steps.

Meet Bug, an adorable 4‑year‑old Poodle mix who weighs less than 5 lbs but has a heart big enough to fill a whole home. Bug came from a commercial breeder, so the world is still a very new and overwhelming place for him. He’s shy, cautious, and taking everything one small step at a time — but he’s also incredibly sweet, gentle, and willing to trust.

Despite being scared, Bug has never tried to bite, even when he’s unsure. He’ll let you pick him up, hold him close, and reassure him that he’s safe. With patience and kindness, he blossoms.

Bug would thrive in a calm home with another friendly dog who can show him the ropes and help him learn that life can be soft, predictable, and full of good things. He’s great with other dogs, and while we’re not sure about cats, his gentle nature suggests he may adjust with proper introductions.

Because he’s so tiny and timid, Bug would do best in a home without young children.

This tiny 5-month-old pup has already lived through a chapter no dog should. Found wandering alone, painfully thin and covered in infected bite wounds, Pumpkin came to us in rough shape—but with a heart still full of hope.

She’s healing beautifully and showing us just how sweet and resilient she is. Pumpkin listens well to gentle corrections and tries so hard to do the right thing—she’s a little pleaser through and through. Playful, loving, and great with other dogs, she’s blossoming into a joyful companion. We’re not sure how she feels about cats yet, but with her gentle, social nature, she’s sure to win over just about anyone she meets.

Though we believe she’s a Catahoula mix, she’s much smaller than expected—maybe there’s a petite relative in her recent family tree.

Meet Carlos and Snoopy, a pair of 4-year-old Chiweenie brothers who’ve been side-by-side since day one. These little guys are the definition of a bonded duo—where one goes, the other follows, tails wagging and hearts wide open.

They’re sweet, silly, and endlessly cheerful. Whether they’re playing tag in the yard, snuggling on the couch, or greeting new friends, Carlos and Snoopy radiate joy. Their favorite things? Belly rubs, snack time, and being together.
