Jewell

Jewell DOB 7/30/2010 is a very sweet and friendly Blue Pittie female. She was confiscated from a home during a domestic violence call. She loves kids, and all people. She is good with other dogs.  This pretty girl was taken with her sister Dory to animal control where they were to be euthanized because their owners had such a bad home. Sad that her little life would have to end just because of who her owner was. Jewell and her sister are bonded so we are trying to find them a home together.

Jenny

Jenny DOB 4/6/2012 was saved on her last day of life from Animal Control. She was picked up as a stray running the streets nearly starved in the dead of winter. We think she is a pitbull mix, maybe Beagle and Pitbull. She is very loving and gentle with people but does not like other dogs. All she wants is to snuggle up to you and get a belly rub. She would need a home with no other pets.  She is really sweet. She weighs about 40 pounds now and is just at the knee high.

Izzy

Izzy is a female PitBull Terrier about 4 years old. She does not go well with other dogs and is searching for a home where she can be the only pet. With people she is the biggest love bug ever! She is good with kids, adults, seniors and everyone in between. She is house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, can be trusted in the home alone free other than stealing your bed when you are not in it. This girl is the perfect pet for any family looking to adopt a dog who only wants to have one dog in their home

August - On Medical Hold

August - DOB 6/22/2012 Female Pit Bull Terrier mix who weighs about 42 lbs.

August was rescued on what would have been her last day of life from Chicago Animal Control. August likes all people but not a fan of other dogs or cats. She prefers to have all of the attention. She walks wonderfully on a leash, is crated trained and just the right size for most homes. She is looking for a home with no other pets, a pantry full of treats and a constant supply of needed belly rubs.

Rango

Rango is a 9 year old Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix.  He was rescued on what was to be his last day of life at Jefferson County Missouri Animal Control.  They had him listed as people aggressive, but upon our observations we found that he is a typical Chihuahua type dog, and you have to bring more than just you to win him over, he prefers Beggin' strip bribes. Once you make friends he is a bundle of playful, adorable little buddy personality. He is a nice dog who was nearly passed over by everyone because no one tried to figure out what breed he was and if his behavior was typical of that breed. Rango weighs just under 11 lbs. He is house trained, and well mannered in the home.

Blazer

Blazer is a 10 year old male Jack Russell mix. He had a family, but then they had kids, and he was not properly socialized around children before the family decided to have them so he did not do well. He is afraid here, but sweet after a treat or two. He is house trained, and would do best in a home with adults only. It is not his fault that he wound up homeless, and we are sure that he will be the perfect pet for the right family. Blazer weighs 15 lbs

Oreo

Oreo is a Chihuahua mix male about 8 years old. He was saved on his last day of life from animal control. He had been picked up as a stray and even though his owners found him there they never came to pick him up. We think Oreo had a very rough life before coming to us and can be bitey and so he would do best with a family with no children. He likes some other dogs and is house trained.
