Hope Animal Rescues was alerted to two dogs that had been left in a basement for weeks without food or water.  Stone seen in the above photo, was locked in a rusted crate standing in caked feces and urine.  The other dog Bootski, was left running around the basement loose.  Police and Hope Rescues gained access to the house and went in and retrieved both dogs.  Both dogs were emaciated, dehydrated and had skin infections from living in the filth.

The owners were charged with two counts of Cruelty to Animals.

Both Stone and Bootski  have recovered and been adopted in loving homes where they will never be left again.
