Arrow

Arrow, a 5 year old German Shepherd male.  He is a BIG boy but oh so gentle with people. He has lots of energy & needs to be reminded once in awhile to mind his manners but he tries very hard to be a good boy
(Arrow may not live in the city of Alton because his owners let him run at large and he killed a 4 lb Yorkie. We still do not know if he meant to as the dog had no bite marks but it is what it is)
He will need to be an only dog and he will only be allowed to go home with an experienced dog handler. He cannot ever be allowed to roam at large again.

Malu

Malu is a beautiful 4 year old Blue Pitt Mix. She was left behind when her family moved and came in malnourished, hairless and covered in skin sores from lack of care. She is a very pretty and healthy girl now and she LOVES people, LOVES them all. But due to lack of socialization as a puppy she does not do well with other dogs or cats. She would love to have all the attention she can get, belly rubs, walks, car rides, you name it as long as she is with her person she is happy.

Sanford

Sanford - 3 year old American Staffordshire terrier. He is deaf but don't let that fool you he isn't hard to manage at all as he only wants to please you. He is GREAT with other dogs and house trained. He does great with people too but because of his deafness, he is easily surprised so he would do best in a home with no small children.

Jessie

Jesse is a 8 year old Boxer mix female. She is gentle, sweet, walks well on her leash, is house trained, and loves ALL people. But Jesse would be best as an only dog. She likes car rides and belly rubs, going for a run or laying next to you while you watch TV. Jesse was rescued on her last day of life at animal control.

Jessie's Sponsor are Roy & Sandra Edwards and Kathy Deppe

Clayton

Clayton is an 8 yr old Boxer mix male. He was the only survivor of a litter of puppies who were rescued from Union County Animal Control along with their mommy.Clayton has a neurological issue that prevents him from running like a normal dog.He is also partially blind in one eye.He LOVES almost everyone, dogs, (no tiny dogs or cats) adults, he has a wonderful nature even with this disability.  Because of this limited vision, he would do best with a home without small children. He will get to live a long happy life as his issue will not affect his years on this earth, just his ability to run like a normal dog. Please give this amazing survivor a place to call forever.
